Bubble Nebula (NGC7635) and M52

A nice mixture of some different deep sky objects, like the Bubble Nebula NGC7635. an emissionnebula, the open star cluster M52.

This region is probably better imaged using some narrowband filters to gain a better rendering of the gas clouds. But this image was taken in RGB using an OSC without any filter.

I reprocessed the data in summer 2024 using my current workflow. I was pretty surprised when I recognized this tiny object at the bottom edge of the image:

 

This is a so-called "Herwig Ae/Be Star" named V628 Cas resp. MWC 1080. These are rather young (younger than 10 million years) stars where stellar fusion is about to ignite. They are typically surrounded by some bright reflection nebula, the star's birthplace.
